Description
Fixaura-50 DS contains Cefixime 50 mg, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of various bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. Cefixime works by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and helping control infection. Fixaura-50 DS may be prescribed for selected infections affecting the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ear, nose and throat, and other areas, depending on the causative organism and the patient’s clinical condition. Its dry syrup formulation is prepared with water according to the product instructions, making it suitable for patients who require a liquid dosage form. The dose should be measured carefully and administered strictly as prescribed by a doctor. It is not effective against viral infections such as the common cold or flu.
