Floxmint-OZ Tablets contain Ofloxacin 200 mg and Ornidazole 500 mg, a combination of antimicrobial medicines used for the management of certain bacterial and protozoal infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by interfering with bacterial DNA replication, while Ornidazole is effective against susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoal organisms. Floxmint-OZ may be prescribed for selected gastrointestinal and other mixed infections where these microorganisms are suspected or confirmed. The medicine should be taken only as directed by a doctor, with the dosage and duration determined according to the type and severity of infection. It should not be used for viral illnesses such as the common cold or flu, and the prescribed course should be completed unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional.
